About us

Kuggteknik is a traditional company which in 2016 celebrated 50 years in gear cutting.

We work with all kinds of materials and has a well-developed cooperation with hardening- and finishing companies.

In our workshop we work with advanced CNC lathes and 40 gear gutting machins. We manufacture everything from prototype to series of tens of thousands of parts.

Milestones

1966 The company was founded in Stockholm by Henning Knutz
1968 The company expand to a workshop in Leksand
1970 Company made its first expansion in Leksand
1974 Henning´s doughter Ewa start working for the business
1974 Acquires Motor Factory Ragne, Borlänge
1975 Another expansion
1978 The business in Stockholm settles and moves to Leksand
1979 Passes 10 employees
1980 Another expansion
1983 Henning´s son Pär start working for the business
1988 Ewa and Pär is taking over the family business
1990 Construction for new measuring room
1993 Pär becames managing director
1999 Passes 20 employees
2001 Acquires Siemens gear manufacturing in Huddinge
2002 Passes 30 employees>
2002 Acquires Töreboda Urs gear manufacturing
2003 Large expansion occurs, 1050 square meters
2003 The first newsletter "kuggnytt" goes out to our customer base
2003 New MPS-system is introduced
2003 SPS-system is introduced in the manufacture
2004 Kuggteknik appointed as one of Sweden´s gazelles by Dagens Industry, with the growth of 115% in three years
2005 Environmental work with landfill industry becomes ready
2006 Kuggteknik celebrate 40-year anniversary
2007 Investment in machinery continues, from today we have CNC-controlled gear tooth machine
2008 In late 2008 we made a major investment in 5 tooth automatic for large  series                                           
2010 Kuggteknik certified accordning ISO 9001:2008
2011 Investment in machinery, a length turning Tornos Delta
2012 New organization, machineinvestment by Nakamura WT150 multi-operation lathe, generating grinder and installation of the washing station
2013 New organization with Rolf Öhberg as Production Manager
2013 LEAN-oriented performance management is introduced
2013 Mats Möller takes over as new CEO
2013 Kuggteknik certified accordning ISO 14001:2004
2014 Investment of a measuring machine Geartec GMS 32
2014 The investment of a high speed tumble Otec CF32
2015 Kuggteknik signs manufacturing agreement with Atlas Copco Industrial Technique AB
